This NRDB Dataverse includes three kinds of source material: Parish records of baptism, marriages and deaths from the Swabian village of Nekarhausen, 1500s-1870s, and the Family Register managed by the pastor. Each source material is included in two forms: first the raw data -- microfilms of the original sources from the village -- and as filled-up forms. The forms constitute the first stage of the work on the source material. They were filled up over the course of over two decades and were updated with information that did not appear in the parish records or family register. The forms were fed into computer programs. The resulting database has also been uploaded to the NRDB.
